Trimming the Shims

It’s like putting cucumber slices on your eyes to cool them. Only they’re hot, and they’re cotton, and it’s a hurdy-gurdy.

Drilling the Tail Brace

I’m a detail person, and maybe just a little OCD (though not a neat OCD person) so it drives me a little batty to have to leave all the details out.

I use the wiggler to get the table pretty much centered over the hole. I don’t have a set of clear layout lines to line up with, so the wiggler is just to get “pretty close.” Then I use the drill bit to get it just right, and I put in the Forstner bit.
